Who can’t wait for Christmas??? I know I can’t! Christmas is my FAVORITE time of year. Not for all the gifts you have to buy but for the beauty of it. I love decorating my house. Seeing my kids laugh, enjoying decorating as a family and believing in Santa. For me, it’s all about the memories I create with my kids.
Today, I am sharing this Believe Christmas card (who can’t resist this cute Bunny?) for the Design Team over at the Happy Little Stampers “Anything Goes with Dies” Challenge. So, why not pop on over and join in on the fun!
I’ll be using some Whimsy Stamps Products today. I’m using the Believe Word Die, Christmas Critter Wishes, Slimline Twisty Frame Die, Slimline Sweater Embossing Folder, Bah HumPUG Stamp and Die Set.
Step 1. Take a piece of white card stock cut to 3” x 8 ¼” and put it in the Whimsy Stamps Slimline Embossing Folder and and run it through your die cut machine.
Step 2. Take a piece of white card stock and die cut the Whimsy Stamps Slimline Twisty Frame. Then, take a piece of red card stock and die cut the long skinny die and the short skinny die for the sides and the circle dies with the candy canes on it.
Step 3. Adhere the red die cuts to the back of the Slimline Twisty frame, so the red shows underneath the frame when looking at the frame. Then, adhere the candy canes in all 4 corners.
Step 4. Adhere the embossed background to the back fo the Slimline Twisty Frame. I do it this way so it adds a little dimension to the card. However, to save on paper, if you want to you can use the middle that was cut out with the Slimline Twisty Frame and emboss that and just adhere it in the middle of the card.
Step 5. Using the Whimsy Stamps Believe Word Die, I cut it from black card stock and adhere it to the left side of the card.
Step 6. I stamp 3 presents with a Copic friendly black ink from the Whimsy Stamps Bah HumPUG Stamp set and then die cut them in my die cut machine.
Step 7. I color the presents in using Copic markers R29-Lipstick Red and R27 Cadmium Red for the ribbons and I use YR23 Yellow Ochre to color in the present.
Step 8. I stamp the bunny with a Copic friendly black ink from the Whimsy Stamps Christmas Critter Wishes Stamp set and cut it out using my Brothers Scan n Cut machine. However, if you don’t have a Brothers Scan n Cut, this image is fairly easy to fussy cut.
Step 9. I color the bunny in using Copic markers R29-Lipstick Red and R27-Cadmium Red for the hat and candy cane. I use C1, C3 and C5 – Cool Gray to color the bunnies body and R11- Pale Cherry to color the ears and feet.
Step 10. I add some Clear Wink of Stella to the to the trim of the bunnies hat and pompom and candy cane. I add some to the red ribbons as well.
Step 11. I adhere the bunny and presents to the card.
Step 12. To finish off the card, I add a gem for the dot above the “I” in the word believe.
And that completes my card for today.
That completes my card for today. I hope you enjoy it. Don’t forget to stop by and play along with us at the Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes With Dies.
I have attached a list of the products I used to create this card if you are interested.
