Creating with Spellbinders The Poet’s Garden – Wild Violets and Ladybugs

Spread the love

Hi crafty friends!

Today I’m excited to share a card I created using the beautiful Spellbinders The Poet’s Garden collection, featuring the Wild Violets and Lady bugs die set. This collection is full of delicate details and is perfect for spring and garden-themed cards. I will be posting the other dies in this collection soon.

For this card, I used the Spellbinders Embossing Folder of the Month Club. This month’s folder is called Cloud Nine, and it’s absolutely beautiful. I love all the fine details in this embossing folder—it adds so much texture and interest to a card with very little effort.

Next,  I started by die cutting the Wild Violets using a mix of soft purples and greens. I love how the layered pieces add so much dimension and realism to the flowers. Once everything was die cut, I ink blended all the violets with a dark purple ink and the leaves with a dark green color.

I assembled the blooms and arranged them to create a natural, garden-inspired look. The leafy stems help frame the flowers and really bring the design together.

For the background, I kept things simple so the florals could be the star of the show. I embossed a piece of stone colored card stock with the cloud nine embossing folder and used a white oval background to allow all those beautiful layers and colors to shine without feeling overwhelming.

The finished card feels fresh, elegant, and perfect for so many occasions—birthdays, thank you cards, or just sending a little happy mail.

This project really highlights how versatile Spellbinders The Poet’s Garden Wild Violets and Lady Bug die set can be. This set is a joy to work with.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope this card inspires you to pull out your floral dies and start creating. Until next time, happy crafting!
