Today, I am sharing this easy note Halloween card I made for the Design Team over at the Happy Little Stampers “Anything Goes with Dies” Challenge. So, why not pop on over and join in on the fun!
I’ll be using some Whimsy Stamps Halloween Products today to create this Haunted Graveyard Scene.
So let’s get started.
First, I take a piece of white card stock cut to 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. Using my ink blending brushes and Distress Oxide Inks I blend the background. I start with the Distress Oxide Chip Sapphire and lightly coat the paper. Then, I bring in the Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke and go over the Chipped Sapphire Color. When I have the desired look that I want, I go around all the edges with Distress Oxide Black Soot. Then, I put it aside for later.
I die cut the Whimsy Stamps Haunted Graveyard Border Die from Black Card Stock. I also cut out the 3 little bats that come with the Haunted Graveyard. Next, I die cut one of the spiders from the Whimsy Stamps Spiders and Webs Die set from Black card stock. I die cut one of the Webs from Silver Metallic Card Stock.
Next, using my Misti Stamping tool. I stamp two of the ghosts from the Whimsy Stamps Sheets & Giggles Stamp set with Gina K Black Amalgam Ink. I cut out the ghosts using my Brothers Scan N Cut DX Machine. I color around the edges of the ghosts with Copic Marker -C1 Cool Gray and then blend it with Copic Marker NO-Neutral Gray.
I die cut 2 of the Whimsy Stamps EEK! Word Die from White card stock and 1 EEK! word from Silver Metallic card stock. I glue the set of 2 white EEK! together and then glue the Silver Metallic on top of the white ones.
I take the Haunted Graveyard that I die cut from black card stock and rub the bottom left hand corner under the house with my embossing powder bag. Then, I stamp the sentiment “Don’t like Halloween” from the Sheets & Giggles stamp set with Versamark ink. I pour Silver Embossing Powder and when my heat tool is good and hot I heat emboss the sentiment.
Now, the fun part……..I start to assemble my card.
I put foam tape on the back of the Haunted Graveyard Border Die and adhere it to the bottom of the ink blended background. I put foam tape on the back of the ghosts and place one behind the house and one behind the tree. I glued the spider web in the top right hand corner and then put foam tape on the back of the spider and adhered it onto the web. I glued the word EEK! onto the middle of the card and then glued the bats in the sky.
I cut a piece of white card stock to 8 1/2″ x 7 ” and scored it at 3 1/2″. Then, I glued the card front to the folded white card stock.
That completes my card for today. I hope you enjoy it. Don’t forget to stop by and play along with us at the Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes With Dies.
