Exciting day today!!!

Whimsy Stamps has a new Mini Release today and one of the new items is this adorable Gnomes Get Well stamp set. I don’t have a lot of Get Well stamps sets so when I saw this I was SUPER excited since I LOVE everything Gnomes!!!

I do want to share a card I made with the stamp set.

First, I stamped the image with a black Copic friendly ink. Then I colored in the Gnome with the following colors.

E00 Cotton Pearl – for the hands, face, feet and part of the bandages. I also used E33 Sand for the bandages to give a slightly darker shade.

B34 Manganese Blue and Pale Blue – I used for the Hat, sleeve and shoe.

C5 Cool Grey, C3 Cool Grey and E Chamois – I used for the crutch

C3 Cool Grey and C1 Cool Grey – for the beard

I used my Brothers Scan n Cut to cut him out. (Since I’m absolutely in love with the machine since I got it a few weeks ago. Saves me so much time) But, you can fussy cut these out if you want to.

Next, I die cut the the zig zag trim with the New Whimsy Stamps Zig Zag dies. I die cut the trim from green and blue card stock. Then, I took a darker green and I used the NEW Whimsy Stamp Thatched embossing folder to ad some texture to the paper.

I glued the zig zag trim together so you can see the light green underneath. Then, I cut the zig zag trim down to 5 1/2″ inches long. I cut the green embossed paper down to 5 1/2″ x 3 1/4″. I adhered the embossed paper to a piece of card stock folded to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″.

Then, I glued the Zig Zag trim to the embossed paper at the top and the bottom. I die cut a white circle and then adhered it to the middle of the card. I glued the Gnome to the circle.

I stamped the sentiment “Wishing You” to a piece of card stock and adhere it to the circle. I stamped “A Speedy Recovery” onto the bottom of the card.

I LOVE adding sparkle to my cards, so I added some gems to the Zig Zag trim.
