Happy Little Stampers “Anything Goes with Dies” Challenge

Spread the love

Morning everyone…… So glad you could join me..

It’s that time of the month again when the Happy Little Stampers is having their Anything Goes with Dies Challenge.

Today, I am sharing how I made this adorable Slimline Card  for the Design Team over at the Happy Little Stampers “Anything Goes with Dies” Challenge. So, why not pop on over and join in on the fun!

For my card today, I’m going to be using the Whimsy Stamps Warm Winter Birds Stamp Set, Whimsy Stamps Tapered Layered Frame Dies and the Whimsy Stamps Slimline SurReally Cool Christmas Pattern Paper. I know it’s not Christmas but this pattern paper can be used for more than just Christmas. Don’t let the name fool you!!

So let’s get started.

Step 1.  Pick out the pattern paper you want to use from the Whimsy Stamps Slimline SurReally Cool Christmas Pattern Paper.

Step 2. Die cut 3 of of the Whimsy Stamps Slimline Tapered Layers Die from white card stock and then adhere them together.

Step 3. Stamp the bird and snowman image from the Whimsy Stamps Warm Winter Birds Stamp set onto the bottom of pattern paper with a copic friendly ink. (I use Gina K Black Amalgam ink). Then, stamp the sentiment “You Warm my (outline of heart)

Step 4. Color the body of the snowman with copic marker No.0. Neutral Grey.

Color the Snowmans hat with B23- Phthalo Blue, B24-Sky Blue and B34-Manganese Blue. Color the carrot with YR04-Orange Chrome, the twig arms with E25-Caribe Cocoa and put some pink on the cheeks with some R11-Pale Cherry.

Step 5. Color the body of the bird with R17-Lipstick Orange and R24-Prawn. Color the hat and scarf with RV63 – Begonia Pink and RV66-Raspberry Red. Color the beak and feet with YR23-Yellow Ochre.

Step 6. Take a White Jelly Roll Pen and make lines on both scarves and the snowman’s hat. Put a white dot in the middle of the bird and snowman’s eyes.

Step 7. Take a glue pen and put glue underneath the bird and snowman. Sprinkle with some fake snow, I bought a bag at the dollar store.

Step 8. Adhere the white Tapered Layers to the top of the the pattern paper.  Trim the excess pattern paper off that’s sticking out from under the Tapered Frames.

Step 9. Cut a piece of white card stock to 8 ½” x 7 and scor it at 3 ½””.

Step 10. Adhere the pattern paper to the top of the Slimline Base.

This is such a quick and easy card to make.

And that completes my card for today.
