Hello and happy Monday, everyone! I’m excited to be sharing the STAMPtember exclusive collaboration set from Simon Says Stamp and Whimsy Stamps. This set is absolutely adorable.
This stamp set comes with 10 images and 9 sentiments. The matching dies are available to purchase. This is an exclusive set and is only available until it’s sold out. So get it while you can, if you really want it. Once it’s gone, It’s gone!
I made a card to share with you. I combined the Just Chicken In Stamp set with the Whimsy Stamps Chicken Coop Die Set.
I start out by die cutting the chicken coop from a piece of cream colored card stock. Then, I also die cut it from a piece of red card stock. Using my ink blending brush and Distress Oxide Ink Gathered Twig, I went around all the edges of the cream colored chicken coop to give it a distressed look.
Then, I die cut the hay for the nests from the same cream colored card stock and then used my Copic Markers E35 – Chamois and E37 Sepia Brown and made lines starting from the center of the nest and working towards the outer edge.
Using a black copic friendly ink, I stamp out the images I want to use and then cut them out with my Brothers Scan n Cut DX.
I used copic Markers C5 – Cool Gray, C3 – Cool Gray and No. 0 – Cool Gray to color in all of the chicken eggs and shells.
I used copic markers Y02 – Canary Yellow and YR04- Chrome Orange for the beak.
For the basket of eggs I used copic marker E35 – Chamois and E37 Sepia Brown for the hay and R29 – Lipstick Red
I cut out the hinges, handles, shelves, fork pick and ladder from Slate Gray card stock.
I die cut the mesh wire from Sliver metallic card stock.
To assemble the card. I glue the wire mesh to the back of the red rectangle frame. Then, I cut a piece of cream colored card stock to 8 1/2″ x 7 and I scored it at 3 1/2″
I put foam tape on the back of the chicken coop and adhere the it to the cream colored card stock. I glue the hay nests to the shelf bars. Then, I put glue at the bottom of the nests and adhere them inside the rectangle. I glue the chickens and the bowl of eggs inside the nest and then I glue the chicks where I want them to go.
I glue the red rectangle on top of the chickens (as pictured) and I open the door and stamp “with my peeps” on the inside with a chick. See picture for details.
I rub my embossing powder bag onto a piece of black card stock . I stamp the sentiment “Just Chicken In” with versamark ink. I put silver embossing powder on it and then I heat emboss it when my heat tool is good and hot.
I cut it down to size and adhere it to the door with some foam tape.
I glue the hinges, ladder and pitch fork onto the card. I glue another chick and nest inside the door where it says “with my peeps” (see picture). I glue some hay sticking out of the pitch fork and then adhere another bowl of eggs next to the pitch for.
and that will complete my card for today. I hope you enjoyed it. Don’t forget to hop on over to Simon Says Stamp to grab this exclusive stamp set. While Supplies Last!
