My Favorite Things -Cupcake and Sprinkles

Spread the love

Today I made a card using My Favorite Things Cupcake and Sprinkles Die set. The cupcake die is sooo cute! You can do so many things with it. I chose to make kind of a simple card with it. First I used my Gemini Junior to die cut the top of the cupcake with a piece of White Glitter Paper and I cut out 3 from plain white cardstock. I glued the 3 plain white cardstocks together and then I glued the glitter one on top.  Secondly, I cut 4 of the bottom of the cupcake from white cardstock  and then glued them all together. Third I used my Distressed Oxide Vintage Photo and my Picket Fence Blending Brush to color the bottom of the cupcake. Using the Sprinkles die I cut pink and white sprinkles out and glued them on to the top of the cupcake using my Jewel picker. To finish off the card I used Nuvo Clear Crystal Glaze all over the top of the cupcake. Then I set it aside to dry. Then I use the candle die to cut out the candle for the cupcake. To color it in I use my copic sketch markers. I use Acid Yellow -Y08 for the flame and Rose Red R85 for the candle.

For the main part of the card, I take a piece of MFT- Tickled Pink Cardstock cut to 5 1/2″ x 3 1/4. I put the paper in my Misti Stamping tool and using the MFT Happy Birthday Background stamp and the MFT- Tickled Pink Ink I stamp the cardstock. Secondly, I prep my paper with Inkadinkado Embossing Magic Powder. Then using the Black Versafine Ink I stamp the Birthday Wishes Sentiment at the bottom of the paper.  I then add Ranger Clear embossing powder and heat set it using my Wagner Heat Gun.

Time to assemble the card.

Using my Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb Cardstock. I fold a piece to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. I cut a piece of Craft Foam to 5 1/4″ x 3″ and glue it to the back of the happy birthday panel. I then adhere it to the middle of the folded cardstock base. I will then cut 2 pieces of white glitter cardstock to 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and glue them to either side of the Birthday panel. I glue the cupcake and the candle to the front of the card.

Hope you enjoyed this card.
