My Favorite Things Cupcakes and Sprinkles

Spread the love

Hello Crafty Friends, I’m excited to say I have joined the Happy Little Stampers Design Team. I will be designing for their Anything Goes with Dies Challenge!

So why not stop over and have some fun with us! Click on the link below and it will take you to the challenge.

The card I made for the challenge is a Birthday Cupcake card. I used the My Favorite Things Cupcake and Sprinkles Die Set and the Sugar Coated Sentiments.

First I die cut out 3 white cupcake tops and 2 white cupcake bottoms from Neenah Classic Crest 110lb card stock. Then, I cut out 1 Pink cupcake bottom using the My Favorite Things Cotton Candy Pink card stock. I glue the 3 cupcake tops together and then I glue the 3 bottom cupcakes together putting the Pink bottom as the top layer.

Next, I die cut the candle out and color with copic markers. I used R85 (Rose Red) and Y17 (Golden Yellow).

I use the Hero Arts Rectangle Infinity die and cut out a rectangle in the middle of piece of Pattern Paper. I used the My Favorite Things Party Patterns 6×6 paper pack but they don’t carry it anymore. (I linked to similar paper down below, but you can use any paper you like).

I use the same rectangle to cut out the same spot on a piece of white craft foam and also the front of an a A2 size card cut to 5 1/2″ x 4″. I use the pattern paper as a template to cut out the rectangles on the craft foam and front of the card (I place it over the craft foam and use a pencil to trace where the rectangle should go).

Next, I cut out a white frame using the Altenew Fine Frames Cover Die set. (This set is really great because you get so many different size frames from just one die cut).

On the inside of the card, so the cupcake shows through the window. I glue the cupcake and candle where I want it to go. I stamp the Hello, Cupcake sentiment with Gina K Amalgam black ink under the cupcake.

I glue the pattern paper to the craft foam and then glue the pattern paper to the front of the card. Next, I glue the frame around the edge of the rectangle.

Now that the card is assembled. I die cut out some sprinkles for the cupcake with the sprinkle die. I just used some scrap piece of papers I had.

I glue all the sprinkles onto the card. Then I cover the top of the cupcake with Nuvo Crystal Glaze.

That completes my card for today. Hope you will join us at the Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies Challenge!
