Hello Crafty Friends…..Whimsy Stamps had a new Mini release today and I’m excited to share two of the products with you.
I will be using the New St. Patrick’s Day Gold Stamp Set and the New St. Patrick’s Slimline paper pack.
The slimline paper pack comes with 15 sheets of paper and you will receive 2 of each sheet of paper. You can use the paper pack for more than just St. Pactrick’s Day but today I will be using it to make a quick and easy St. Patty’s day card.
I’m going to use the Whimsy Stamps Slimline card builder set to cut the pattern paper down and It will put a stitched border around the edge..
Next, I take a piece of White card stock cut to 8 ½” x 7” and I scored it at 3 ½” and I adhere the pattern paper to the front of the card.
Using my misti stamping tool, I stamp the circle sentiment onto a piece of white card stock using a copic friendly black ink.
Then, I color in the center of the clovers using an Evergreen alcohol marker. I bring in G24 (willow green) for the rest of the clover. I work my way from the center of the clover to the outer edge blending the 2 colors as I go. Then I do the same for the other clover.
Once I’m done with my coloring, I take a circle die that measures approx. 2 ½” in diameter and tape it down so it doesn’t move around and then I die cut the sentiment.
Then, I take a piece of black card stock and cut out another circle that is 2 ¾” in diameter. Then I adhere the sentiment onto the black card stock.
I cut piece of black card stock down to 3 ¼” wide by 1 ¾” tall and I adhere it where I want it to go on the front of my card
I want the sentiment to be raised up on the card so i put foam tape on the back of the sentiment and adhere it over the black card stock.
This card is extremely quick and easy to make if you want to mass produce them.
