Hello My Crafty Friends,
I have a quick and easy Thank you card using the new Whimsy Stamps 6 x 6 Heart to Heart paper pack along with their Thanks die.
I used Simon Says Stamps Holographic card stock to die cut the thanks word out. I just love this card stock. I think it really dresses up a simple card.
Then, I die cut the Thanks Shadow out of white card stock. I love sentiment dies that have shadows to them. I think it really adds to the look of the sentiment.
Once I cut both of them out, I glue the Holographic Thanks word onto the White Shadow cut out.
I cut my pattern paper down to 3 7/8” x 5 3/16”.
I cut a piece of black cardstock to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” and I cut a piece of black strip to go across the front of the card to 1 5/16” x 3 7/8” .
I take a piece of craft foam and glue it to the back of the pattern paper to give the card some dimension. I feel by adding dimension to the card it also dresses up a simple card.
Next, I glue the pattern paper to the black card stock and then I glue that pattern paper panel to a piece of white card stock folded to 5 ½ x 4 ¼”.
When I’m done, I glue the black strip of paper to the front of the card.
Then, I wanted to add a heart to the sentiment strip. I had some hearts that were left over from when I used the New Slimline Hearts background die. So, I thought I would use one of them for this card. But, you can use any heart die you have. I colored the heart using a copic marker (R85 Rose Red) that matched the color hearts in the pattern paper.
I placed the sentiment and the heart where I wanted them to go on the card and then I glued them to the black strip of paper.
I always love to add some shine to my card. So, I decided to add some Clear Wink of Stella to the heart to give it some shine since it was next to the holographic thanks word.
Even though this card is simple, I think it really makes a statement. It is also a very quick and easy card to mass produce if you wanted too.
