Slimline Birthday Card/Whimsy Stamps Cubed Die

Spread the love

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I made a Slimline Birthday Card using the NEW Whimsy Stamps Cubed Die. This die is extremely versatile. On my card I chose to stack the blocks.

First, I ink blended a background. I used the following Distress Oxide inks.

Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn and Peacock Feathers.

I blended them together in a red, orange, yellow, green and blue pattern. Once I blended the background, I die cut the cube pattern from it twice.

Next, I die cut the Whimsy Stamps rectangle slimline card builder from a piece of white card stock. Then, I glue the cubed die set onto the white rectangle paper paper which just die cut. Once I have the cube die pieces where I want them on the paper, I glue in all the center pieces of the cubes.

I die cut the word Happy from the Whimsy Stamps Bold Alphabet letters. I glue them where I want them to go on top of the cube die set.

Next, I heat emboss the word Birthday (from the Whimsy Stamps Happy Sayings Stamp Set). First, I use the embossing powder bag on my paper. Then I stamp the word with my Versafine Black Ink. I pour Ranger clear embossing powder on it. When my heat tool is good and hot I emboss the word.

Using foam tape, I attach the Sentiment onto the card where I want it go.

To complete the card, I attach the cube panel to a piece of black card stock cut to 3 6/16″ x 8 7/16″. Then I attach that panel to a piece of card stock cut to 8 1/2″ x 7″ and scored at 3 1/2″

That completes my card. I hope you enjoyed it.

I have attached a list of the products I used to create this card if you are interested.
