Trick or Treat Smell my Feet, Give Me Something Good to Eat. Happy Halloween!

Spread the love

Halloween, Halloween…Oh, how I LOVE Halloween!!! I’m back again with another Halloween card. I can’t seem to get enough of them.

Today, I’m sharing how I made this Halloween card using the Whimsy Stamps Trick or Treat Stamp Set.

Step 1.  Take a piece of white card stock (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) and ink blend the whole paper with Distress Oxide Spice Marmalade Ink. I used my blending brushes but you can use whatever tool you have.

Step 2. Stamp the House from the Whimsy Stamps Trick or Treat Stamp Set onto the distressed paper with Black ink. I stamped it about 5 times only because I wanted the house to be really dark and when your stamping over another ink it kind of absorbs it. So you need to do it a few times.

Step 3. Die cut the distressed image out with the biggest Whimsy Stamps Notched Rectangle and Ticket Die, centering the house in the middle of the die. Then, I take some Distress Oxide Black Soot Ink and go around all the edges of the paper bringing the ink in towards the house.

Step 4. Take a piece of black card stock and cut it to 3 ½” x 4 ½” and then notch the corners of it with a pair of scissors.  I make sure to line the notches up with the notches from the die cut house.

I take a piece of craft foam and attach it to the back of the distressed house image. Then I glue that panel to the top of the black card stock.

Step 5. Using the Whimsy Stamps Spiders and Webs Die, I cut out 2 of the smaller webs from silver metallic card stock and one of the spiders from black card stock.

Step 6.  I take a piece of the Whimsy Stamps Vintage Halloween Paper and cut it down to 5 ⅜” x 4 ⅛” and I adhere it to a piece of white card stock folded to 5 ½” x 4 ¼”. I glue the pattern paper onto the front of the white card stock. I glue the spider webs onto the pattern paper and then adhere the distressed house panel over the spider webs. I glue the spider in the bottom right hand corner of the card.

Step 7. Finally, I prep a piece of black card stock with my embossing powder bag and then stamp the sentiment “Smell My Feet Give Me Something Good to Eat” onto it with versamark ink.  When my heat tool is good and hot,  I heat emboss the sentiment. I cut the sentiment out using the Oval die from the Whimsy Stamps Quick Strip Dies. I put foam tape on the back of the sentiment and adhere it above the house on the left hand side.

Step 8. To finish off the card, I add some Clear Wink of Stella to the spider to give it some sparkle.

And that completes my card for today.

I have attached a list of the products I used to create this card if you are interested.
