Hello Crafty Friends,
Today, I am sharing this cute shaker card I made for the Design Team over at the Happy Little Stampers “Anything Goes with Dies” Challenge. It can be used for Valentine’s Day or any day you want to tell some one they’re special. Why not pop on over and join in on the fun!
I will be using the New Whimsy Stamps Slimline Heart Background Die and the Whimsy Stamps Gnomes set.
So let’s get started.
First, I cut out a stitched heart. Then I put it in my Misti stamping tool and I stamp and gnome onto the heart holding a flower. I put a mask over his hand so that the stem of the flower looks like it’s in his hand.
Next, using my copic markers, I color the images in. Here is a list of makers I used to color the images.
Copic markers: For the Gnome
E00-Cotton Pearl for the nose and eye area, a dash of R11 Pale Cherry Pink for the nose.
C3 Cool Grey – for the outer edge of the beard and No Neutral Gray for the middle of the beard. Make sure to blend the two color together really good.
E35 Chamois for the hand and feet
G24 Willow for the leaves
Y13 Lemon Yellow for the center of the flower
R29 Lipstick Red for the flower
Altenew G554 Evergreen for the Hat
I cut out the Slimline Hearts background die from Red card stock and white cardstock. Then I add scor tape all around the edge of the back of the red card stock. Then I adhere a piece of acetate to the red card stock.
Then I put more scor tape all along the edge of the acetate and then I adhere the white Heart background to the acetate. I offset the white heart background to make it so you can see the white showing when you look at the card.
Then I add foam tape all around the edge of the white heart background.
Then, I fill the shaker card with red sequence and silver hearts.
I take a piece of Neenah Classic Crest white card stock that is cut to 8 1/2″ x 7″ and scored at 3 1/2″ and cover the back of the heart panel with it.
I glue the heart to the front of the card. Then, I stamp the There’s Gnome one like you” Sentiment to a piece of black card stock. I prep the paper with my Embossing Powder Bag and then stamp the image with Versamark ink. Then I cover the sentiment with Ranger White embossing Powder and when my heat tool is good and hot I emboss the sentiment.
I trim the sentiment down to a square and then put foam tape on the back of it and adhere it to the front of the card.
Next, I add little hearts to the gnomes hat, sentiment and a bigger heart next to the gnome.
To finish off the card, I added wink of stella to the hearts and flower.
That completes my card for today. I hope you enjoy it. Don’t forget to stop by and play along with us at the Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes With Dies.
I have attached a list of the products I used to create this card if you are interested.
