Wishing you a Gnomes Christmas | HLS Anything Goes with Dies Challenge

Spread the love

Christmas is coming fast. It’s my FAVORITE time of the year. Can’t wait for the snow and all the fun outdoor activities. Then coming inside to warm by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa. My kids favorite.

With that being said…….

Today, I am sharing this Gnome Christmas card (who LOVES Gnomes?) for the Design Team over at the Happy Little Stampers “Anything Goes with Dies” Challenge. So, why not pop on over and join in on the fun!

Today, I’ll be using some Whimsy Stamps Products. I’m using the Gnome Warm Wishes Stamp Set. the Slimline Frozen Pattern Paper Pack and the Happy Sayings Stamp Set. Then, I cut my images out with my Brothers Scan n Cut machine.

Step 1.  Take a piece of white card stock and stamp out your Gnome image, the Tree house and 3 sets of the lights with a black copic friendly ink. Then, I cut my images out with my Brothers Scan n Cut machine.

Step 2.  I color the Tree House in using Copic Markers – E37 Sepia Brown and E35 Chamois Light Brown. I color the door with YG13 Chartreuse and a little G24 Willow. I color the Holly with G 94 Grayish Olive and G99 Olive and the berries with R27 – Cadmium Red. I used C3 and C1 Cool Gray for the steps and a very small amount of pale blue to outline the snow and then I used my Copic Colorless blender to blend it out.

Step 3. I colored the Santa Gnomes Hat, Mittens and Shoes with R27 Cadmium and R29 Lipstick Red. His Beard with C1 Cool Gray. The Ornament with G24 Willow and Gold Wink of Stella. I used E00 Cotton Pearl for his face and to finish him off I used Clear Wink of Stella for the trim of the hat and the pom pom on the end.

Step 4. I colored the 3 strings of lights with R17 Lipstick Orange, Y13 Lemon yellow and G94 Grayish Olive.

Step 5. I took one of the pattern papers from the Whimsy Stamps Slimline Frozen Paper Pack and adhered it to a piece of white card stock cut to 7 3/8″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 3 5/8″.

Step 6. Using Foam Tape, I adhered the tree house and gnome where I wanted it to go and then I adhered the lights on the tree.

Step 7. To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment “Warm Christmas Wishes” using the Whimsy Stamps Happy Sayings Stamp Set and the Gnome Warm Wishes Stamp Set.

And that completes my card for today.

That completes my card for today. I hope you enjoy it. Don’t forget to stop by and play along with us at the Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes With Dies.
